Four people dead, one seriously hurt after shooting in Georgia

ATLANTA (July 22, 2015) — Five people were shot, leaving four of them dead early Wednesday morning.

The shooting happened just before 6 a.m. in the 5500 block of Old Atlanta Road in Forsyth County. When deputies arrived on scene, three people were dead. Two people were taken to the hospital where one of them died, according to WGCL.

Forsyth County Sheriff Duane Piper said during a news conference that the deceased were an adult male and two children under the age of 10. A

woman later died at the hospital. Another man is currently listed in critical condition at an area hospital.

No identities have been released. The gunman is among the dead.

Authorities said the shooting is domestic and there is no harm to the public. No deputies were involved in the shooting. Sheriff Piper said officers were familiar with the residence and had been at the home before.

No other information has been released.
