Marion women facing meth dealing charges

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. –Three Marion women were arrested on meth charges in Miami County early Friday morning.

Marissa Clark, 22, Michele Davis, 45, Birdena Davis, 24 were arrested following a traffic stop on State Road 18 around 12:05 a.m. Police say the driver of the 2002 Dodge Avenger had crossed the center line.

The trooper who made the arrest says after speaking with the driver, he believed they were involved in criminal activity. The trooper had his drug dog sniff the vehicle and it indicated a presence of narcotics.

The trooper says he conducted a search of the vehicle and found around $12,000 worth of meth and an additional $1,000.

The women were taken to the Miami County Jail and charged with possession and dealing of methamphetamine. Davis faces an additional charge for maintaining a common nuisance.
