SPEEDWAY, Ind. – Every year, race fans flock to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, days before the Indianapolis 500.  Besides checking out the track, visiting the garages and taking pictures, some fans pay to get into an IndyCar.

The fans put on a fire suit, a helmet and the gloves.  Then they’re driven around the track by an actual race car driver.

If you’re really lucky, you get to ride right behind Mario Andretti.  The racing legend took CBS4 This Morning’s Tim Doty and Marianne Lyles on a 170 MPH spin around IMS in the famed two-seater and talked about the significance of the 100th running.
