Man hospitalized after being shot on Indy’s northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A man was shot early Sunday morning on the northeast side of Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Shortly before 2:00 a.m., police responded to the call of a shooting near the 4200 block of North Post Road.

Officers located a man suffering from at least one gun shot wound. EMS personnel took the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. He was listed in stable condition and is expected to survive his injuries.

Police say the man was shot in a nearby parking lot and then drove himself to a different location.

An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
