Lynn residents asked to stay inside as Randolph County deputies respond to shots fired calls; 1 arrest made


LYNN, Ind. — The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office has arrested one man after a shots fired investigation that prompted authorities to ask people living near one Lynn home to stay inside.

Around 2:40 a.m., police received calls of someone firing shots in the 300 block of N. Franklin Street. Police arrived to a home and established a perimeter surrounding it.

People living nearby were asked to stay inside the home as police attempted to communicate with the suspect.

Police were able to take the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Noah Mills, into custody around 6:50 a.m.

He was arrested for criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
