LEBANON, Ind.– A Lebanon teacher was arrested over the weekend for drunk driving.

Crews were called to a car fire late Saturday night. When they arrived, Lizbeth Dulhanty said she was driving when her car burst into flames.

Officers said the car appeared to have been damaged in a previous accident. Dulhanty told the officers she had a few drinks at a friend’s house before driving home.

After a test, she registered at .27, more than three times the legal limit. She now faces five misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and endangering a person, operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent of .15 or more, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, public intoxication, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Lebanon Community School Corp. Superintendent Dr. Robert Taylor confirmed she is a language arts and math teacher at Lebanon Middle School. He said they do not comment on personnel matters when asked for a statement.
