INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 14, 2015)– SWAT was called to a house in a Lawrence neighborhood Tuesday after a police pursuit.

Officers attempted to pull over a vehicle and the car failed to stop. A car with a similar description was involved earlier in a shots fired incident.

The car fled into the Winding Ridge neighborhood, near East 56th Street and North German Church Road. The suspect, Steven Mance, 26, got out of the car and ran into the residence. Women and children were in the home, but were not hostages.

Mance came out of the residence shortly after SWAT arrived on the scene. He is now in police custody.
