Lawrence police looking for answers to solve 2012 homicide

LAWRENCE, Ind. – Four years later, Lawrence police are still looking for the person who shot and killed a man in Lawrence.

In the early morning of June 14, 2012, a police officer found E.J. Clark suffering from a gunshot wound on the side of the road in the 9700 block of East 46th Street. The officer also discovered a 9mm shell casing lying beside him.

There were no other people around at the time and there were no firearms found in the area.

Clark couldn’t tell the officer much information about the shooter.

He was transported to Methodist Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
