LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Dec. 1, 2015) – Lafayette police arrested a man they say swiped a donation bucket for Riley Hospital for Children.

According to Lafayette police, Daniel Thomas, 19, was arrested Sunday. Managers at the Circle K in the 4200 block of South Street noticed the donation bucket was missing and reviewed surveillance footage showing Thomas taking it Sunday morning. When he returned to the store, workers recognized him and called police.

After reviewing the footage, police arrested Thomas and took him to the Tippecanoe County Jail. Lt. Brian Gossard with the Lafayette Police Department said investigators didn’t know exactly how much money was stolen.
