KOKOMO, Ind. – Two children have been located and are safe after Kokomo police issued an alert about them Thursday.

Police said 37-year-old Michael D. Lovely was supposed to return 4-year-old Noah Lovely and 1-year-old Conner Lovely to his estranged wife on Friday, July 6.

On Wednesday, July 18, an emergency order was issued out of Howard County Superior Court II to return the kids to their mother. Officers say Michael has an active warrant out of Miami County for an unrelated incident.

Police have since canceled the alert and said Conner and Noah Lovely were located safe in Kentucky around 4:30 a.m.

Michael Lovely was taken into custody on a charge of interfering with custody, which is a fellow. He faces extradition from Kentucky to Indiana.
