Investigation underway as IMPD officers find two people dead

UPDATE (Nov. 7, 2019): The victims were identified as German Orantes, 21, and Rossy Medina, 19. Both died from gunshot wounds, according to the coroner.

INDIANAPOLIS --Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers are investigating two deaths on Indy's west side.

The IMPD said the call came in around 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the 1000 block of North Waldemere Avenue. Officers at the scene found a man and woman dead inside a residence.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.

"If they heard or saw maybe a vehicle that was out of place or just anything that might have been out of place for this neighborhood; the neighbors would know and ask for their full cooperation," Sgt. Grace Sibley.
