INDIANAPOLIS — A 30-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot during an altercation on Indianapolis’ southwest side, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
IMPD said friends dropped the man off at Community South Hospital just after 6:30 Wednesday evening.
The shooting happened in the 6500 block of Tanner Drive. Police say they obtained a search warrant for an apartment at that location but have been unable to find the suspected shooter.
Children were present at the time of the shooting, noted IMPD, which added that officers are not getting much cooperation from witnesses.
