NOBLESVILLE, Ind.– Police are investigating the death of a child at a Noblesville construction site.

Noblesville police say a 15-month-old child was injured at a worksite on May 7. While en route to the hospital, the child’s father allegedly came across an off-duty officer and flagged him down near State Road 32 and Greenfield Avnenue.

The child was transported to Riverview Health in Noblesville before being transferred to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.

A short time later, the child was pronounced dead.

Police are still investigating why the child was at the construction site. The Indiana Department of Child Services is involved in the investigation. At this time, no arrests have been made.
