INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (August 8, 2015) – Four IndyGo mini-buses were completely destroyed and a few others suffered minor damage after an early morning fire broke out on the city’s west side.
The buses were all out of service and were being stored in a boneyard at 5700 West Minnesota Street.
Firefighters were forced to cut through a chain link fence so they could get to the buses. At one point, the fire was so large it could be seen from I-465.
Hazmat crews were also called to the scene because of the fuel leaking from the buses.
Police are investigating this as a possible case of arson.
