INDIANAPOLIS — A triple shooting with two crime scenes has left two people dead and another injured on Indy’s north side.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, a shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 7200 block of Rue De Margot Drive, near 71st and Michigan Road.

Officers reportedly found two victims outside of an apartment complex with gunshot injuries. Both victims were pronounced deceased. The Marion County coroner has identified one of the victims as Jaivin Hoskin, 17.

Police were also dispatched to the Shell gas station located at 7203 N. Michigan Rd. on a report of a person shot.

Officers found a man inside a car that had been struck by bullets. The man was also shot. He was taken to the hospital and was last listed in critical condition.

“Tensions are high. Families lost loved ones tonight. A community is shaken. Three individuals shot, two dead, is disturbing for our community,” said IMPD’s public information officer Samone Burris.

Police say they do not believe this was a random shooting.
