INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a shooting on the city’s northwest side that left one man dead.

At around 2:00 a.m., IMPD was contacted about shots fired in the area of Apollo Way and W 62nd Street. When they arrived, officers located a victim originally in critical condition. They were later pronounced dead.

The coroner’s office identified the victim as 18-year-old Curtis Wright Jr.

The investigation is ongoing.
