Update (August 16, 2016)— Brittany Emery pleaded guilty to sexual battery and was sentenced to 1 year, all suspended except time served. Placed on probation for 523 days.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– A Bloomington woman faces charges after allegedly drinking alcohol with two boys, ages 14 and 16, and having a sexual encounter with one of them.

Brittany Emery, 20, was preliminarily charged with sexual misconduct and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

On October 23, officers were called to a dispute at Henderson Court Apartments. Bloomington Police Department Captain Joe Qualters said a mother of one of the teens confronted Emery.

According to police, Emery admitted during an interview she had a sexual encounter with the 14-year-old boy. She claimed they were both intoxicated.

On Monday, she was booked into the Monroe County Jail.
