FORT WAYNE, Ind. – A man died after an argument at a Fort Wayne Texas Roadhouse led to a shooting.

According to the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, the shooting happened around 9:40 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the restaurant located at 710 W. Washington Center Road. Officers arrived to find two men had been shot; one was pronounced dead at the scene and the second was in critical condition.

The argument started inside the restaurant between two groups of men and spilled out to the parking lot, according to Fort Wayne police. A fight ensued and at least one gunshot was fired, striking a man who was then put into a vehicle so he could be taken to the hospital.

As the vehicle drove around, the groups clashed again; someone inside the car fired a shot, striking and killing another man.

Police arrested Andrew Cassady, 29, in connection with the shooting. Preliminary charges against him include possession of a firearm without a license and aggravated battery.

The shooting remains under investigation.
