INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – An Ohio-based company will launch its chain of cannabidiol shops in U.S. malls owned by Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group.

The deal will give Green Growth Brands access to 108 prime shop locations across the U.S. The first such store is expected to open at Castleton Square Mall in March. Other CBD shops will open at Simon malls throughout the year, according to a news release.

CBD is a compound found in cannabis that has little or no THC, the compound that gives marijuana its “high.”

The state legalized the sale and use of low-THC CBD oil last year, allowing anyone to buy, sell and possess it as long as it contains no more than 0.3 percent THC and meets certain labeling requirements.

Green Growth sells CBD-infused personal care products under the name “Seventh Sense Botanical Therapy” and other brands.

“The expansive nature of the relationship with Simon makes it the first of its kind in the CBD industry and will give GGB access to entire markets of new customers at many of the nation’s most productive retail locations,” the company said in a statement.
