INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 7, 2015) – So much is happening around Indianapolis during the month of May, and events continue into the summer months.

One event that kicks off Thursday is the Georgia Street Happy Hour.

That continues every Thursday this spring and summer and features local food and drinks as well as live music.

Indianapolis also offers an impressive concert lineup in the coming weeks.

Kenny Chesney will perform at Lucas Oil Stadium this Saturday.

White River State Park will host its own concert lineup, including Third Eye Blind, Hozier, Barenaked Ladies, Sublime, The Beach Boys and O.A.R

Elsewhere around the city, the farmers market just reopened on Market Street, Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Workout Wednesdays for group fitness are held every Wednesday from noon – 12:45 p.m. on Georgia Street.

Food Truck Fridays are also on Georgia Street, every Friday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

“We love the month of May in downtown Indy, everything is hopping,” said Amanda Dorman with Downtown Indy.

Of course May means racing and 500 Festival events too! This Saturday is the free 500 Festival Kids’ Day on Monument Circle with a concert by Carlie Rae Jepson. Kids can also meet Olympic gold-medalist Shawn Johnson.

Then on Sunday, families can bring mom downtown for Mother’s Day.
