INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 22, 2015)– An Indianapolis man was sentenced to life without parole Friday after being found guilty of a double murder in Hamilton County.

Christian Haley will spend the rest of his life behind bars. He pleaded guilty to killing Marilyn and Kelly Erb inside their Westfield home in December 2013. The two women were found bludgeoned to death by Todd Erb as he returned from work.

On Christmas Eve morning, a tipster called police to say that he overheard Jamiyl Gilbert claim that a friend, Christian Haley, “had murdered those people in Westfield.”

The tipster told police that Gilbert was aware that Haley formerly worked for the Erb family’s landscaping company, Sundown Gardens.

Gilbert said he accompanied Haley to the neighborhood in July during a previous robbery attempt one month after Haley was fired from the landscaping company for poor attendance.
