Vigo County, IND. — A typical improper lane usage stop resulted in a DUI arrest in Vigo County Friday night.

Trooper Michael Organ was patrolling and stopped a vehicle that was in the westbound turn lane headed southbound.  But that car then continued westbound instead of southbound as the lane indicated, nearly sideswiping the trooper.

Upon inspection the vehicle yielded less than two grams of suspected marijuana, assorted paraphernalia and alcoholic beverages.

Driver Vaughn Anthony Dumas, age 19, of Indianapolis, IN was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Alcoholic Beverages by a minor.  The front seat passenger, Nicholas Freeman, age 19, was cited but then released.
