INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Indianapolis Metropolitan police say two people were shot, one fatally, on the west side of Indianapolis Friday afternoon.

When officers arrived they found one man shot in front of the home.  That victims was rushed to the hospital.

A second man was found shot to death on the back porch. He was identified Monday as Davon Davis, 22.

Neighbors say two suspects ran away from the scene.   It’s not clear if those suspects were injured in the shooting or not.

One of the witnesses described being outside at the exact moment the violence erupted.

“All of sudden there were multiple shots fired, probably 8 to 11 shots. I saw people run this way so I ducked and went that way,” said William Horner. “It made me a little nervous, but it’s isolated to that house and whatever they were doing.”

Neighbors say the home where the shooting took place is known for possible drug activity.  For their part, police would not confirm a motive for the shooting.
