Crews respond to house fire on city’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (January 2, 2015) – The Pike Township Fire Department was called to the scene of a fire on the city’s northwest side Friday morning.

The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. in the 8600 block of Green Braes S Dr. just west of the Eagle Creek Reservoir.

Crews found heavy smoke inside the residence upon arrival, and shortly thereafter they located the fire in the basement.

All occupants made it out of the house safely.
