INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 28, 2015) —  Homeowners who struggle to prevent foreclosure are getting some much needed help.

The Community Action of Greater Indianapolis hosted a free clinic on Saturday, to give homeowners advice on keeping their homes.

Experts were on hand to help homeowners determine if they are eligible for the many state programs designed to help them avoid default.

“We’re dealing with a lot of homeowners that have had issues with loss of income due to reduction in work force, their job being phased out or eliminated,” said Theresa Donaldson of the Community Action of Greater Indianapolis. “And then once the homeowners are re-employed, now they’re underemployed.”
