Greene County firefighter accused of child molestation

UPDATE (Aug. 25, 2017) — Adam Carver was sentenced to 13 years, with 10 years to be served and 3 years suspended. He’ll spend 3 years on probation once his sentence is complete. 

GREENE COUNTY, Ind. – A firefighter in Greene County is off the job and accused of child molestation.

Police records show Adam Carver, of Bloomfield, faces three felony charges including two counts of child molesting and one count of having sex with a victim under the age of fourteen.

The assistant chief for Richland Township Fire and Rescue says Carver was permanently removed from the department’s membership and was terminated as soon as they learned about the criminal charges.

Richland Township Fire and Rescue is a volunteer-run department that serves east-central Greene County.
