UPDATE (May 10, 2018)– Jordan Cooper-Clark pleaded guilty to child molesting in March and was sentenced to six years. Three years will be spent in the Department of Correction and the other three years will be served on probation.

Original story:

GASTON, Ind. – A 22-year-old man was arrested after police say they found thousands of explicit messages sent between him and a 12-year-old girl.

Jordan Cooper-Clark faces a list of charges, including child molestation, sexual misconduct with a minor, child solicitation, and possession of child porn.

Gaston police were called to home of the girl after her parents reported the inappropriate communications on April 14.

When they arrived, police reviewed the messages sent through a free text messaging app and Facebook between January and April. Officers say the messages were sexually graphic, and included several topless photos of the 12-year-old and numerous pictures of Cooper-Clark’s penis.

When officers interviewed the girl, she admitted to discussing and partaking in sexual activity. Police say Cooper–Clark also admitted to messaging the 12-year-old, sending and receiving the explicit photos, and partaking in sexual activity.

Cooper-Clark was placed under arrest on April 30.
