INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 20, 2015) — A gas station employee is in extremely critical condition after being shot during a robbery Sunday evening

Around 8:45 p.m.  Metro Police responded to a business robbery at the Phillips 66 gas station in the 5100 block of Michigan Road.

Police say an off duty officer working nearby was flagged down by a person who reported someone had been shot at the gas station.

Medics took the male victim to Eskenazi Hospital. He had a gunshot wound to his chest and was in extremely critical condition.

Investigators say two males dressed all in all black clothing entered the store, pulled out a weapon and fired multiple shots at the clerk before fleeing the business.
