Former Noblesville pain doctor involved in prescription drug ring arrested for OWI

Dr. Larry Ley was found not guilty in connection with the prescription drug ring on Aug. 16, 2016. Prosecutors are reviewing their cases against the other men facing charges.


HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (May 12, 2015) – A former Noblesville pain doctor that was involved in a prescription drug ring was arrested Monday night for OWI by Noblesville police.

Dr. Larry Ley, 69, was stopped after an officer saw him driving erratically around 9:45 p.m.

Ley has a bond hearing at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Ley was one of 11 people arrested in July 2014 for his alleged involvement in a prescription drug ring. According to investigators, he was the ringleader. “We make no distinction between Dr. Ley and any other drug dealer,” said Major Aaron Dietz
