FISHERS, Ind. (October 26, 2015) – High school marching bands are an instrumental part of football season, and the Fishers High School football team made sure their band was recognized for their hard work.

October 16 was senior night for the Fishers High School football team. They celebrated the seniors during halftime, but the celebration lasted a little longer than expected.

Right as the marching band was getting ready to step on the field for their halftime performance, the referees told the band that they could not perform because the halftime clock was running out. And if they did perform, the football team would be penalized.

The band left the field heartbroken.

But after the game the entire football team took a knee on the sideline and encouraged the band to perform.

After the performance, the football team formed a tunnel for the band members to walk through, and the players cheered them on.
