Father arrested after 6-week-old Frankfort baby dies

FRANKFORT, Ind. (Aug. 16, 2015)–Frankfort Police arrested the father of a six-week-old infant who died from apparent shaken baby syndrome.

Twenty-year-old Cody Brown has been charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death and battery resulting in death.

Detectives were called to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health to investigate after an infant arrived there suffering head injuries. Earlier the child had been transferred from St. Vincent Hospital in Frankfort.

Police say the infant died as a result of trauma suffered while in his father’s care.

Brown is being held in the Clinton County Jail.
