INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 22, 2015) Shortly after 7pm Wednesday night, the Indianapolis Fire Department were called to the area of 35th Street near Shadeland Avenue for a car fire. When they arrived they discovered an apartment fire at the Kingston Square Apartments just a block east of the car fire.
Additional fire units were called to the 7000 block of Kensington Drive where they found the two-story structure on fire.
Eight units were damaged and ten residents were displaced from the fire that may have been caused by kids shooting fireworks in the area striking one of the apartment units.
Damage to the structure has been listed as $150,000 as the investigation remains under investigation.
