INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A man was killed during a fight on the near east side of Indianapolis–and police have made an arrest.

Indianapolis Metropolitan police were called to the 600 block of North Temple Avenue near East North Street just before 6 a.m. Thursday. They found a man suffering from trauma when they arrived. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified him as 38-year-old Quentin Miller.

Police believe Miller and two other people were involved in an altercation. They’re not sure where it started, but they say it may have happened in a home and spilled out into the street.

IMPD arrested 40-year-old Eddie Bingham in connection with the case. He faces preliminary charges of murder, public intoxication, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct, according to online records.

The case remains under investigation.
