FISHERS, Ind. – Fishers police are investigating a deadly crash from Sunday afternoon.
According to the Fishers Police Department, the crash happened on I-69 southbound at the 204 mile marker. Southbound lanes were closed starting at 116th Street.
The crash involved a 2018 Ford pickup truck and a 2015 Ford van, according to Fishers police. Police were dispatched around 2 p.m.
The truck had construction workers in it; the van rear-ended the truck, seriously injuring two people in the pickup. The driver of the van died. Police identified him as 66-year-old William Womack of Indianapolis.
Investigators identified the driver of the pickup as 43-year-old Heath Franklin of Bloomington and the passenger as 41-year-old Isaiah Newsome of Bloomington. Both were taken to an area hospital.
The interstate was closed for about three hours for the investigation.
