DALEVILLE, Ind. – Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Daleville Thursday evening.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office says it happened on SR 67 near 600 West shortly after 6 p.m.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office said a 2013 Chevy Silverado truck driven by 55-year-old Scott Richard Chambers of Pendleton was going westbound on 67 when the vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup driven by 21-year-old Braxton Lee Patton on Muncie.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage, and both drivers died from their injuries at the scene, police said. Investigators are looking at the possibility of distracted driving/cell phone usage and alcohol as possible factors in the crash.
