Woman calls police to report meth lab left by guest in Greenfield home

GREENFIELD, Ind. (Aug. 19, 2015) – Police in Greenfield found a meth lab at a home after a homeowner called them to report it.

Greenfield police responded to the home in the 100 block of West Pierson Street Tuesday morning after the homeowner reported that a house guest had left behind materials used to make methamphetamine.

When police arrived, they found chemicals and materials used to produce meth and turned the scene over to the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Task Force.

The woman who reported the meth lab and an officer were taken to Hancock County Regional Hospital after being exposed to chemicals inside the home. Police said the woman was unaware that the guest was making meth at the home.
