Suspicious package at Indianapolis Zoo determined to be family’s cooler

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 6, 2015) – Capitol police officers were called to the Indianapolis Zoo at 5:04 p.m. Sunday on a report of a suspicious package.

After conducting an investigation, it was later determined that a family had accidentally left their cooler under their car in the parking lot.

This is the second incident today that police have responded to at the Indianapolis Zoo. Earlier in the morning police were at the zoo when a cheetah escaped from his enclosure.
