Police search for man who robbed taxi driver at gunpoint

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Oct. 30, 2015)— The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who is wanted for robbing a taxi driver.

On October 20, police said the suspect got inside a Yellow Cab in the 4800 block of E. 19th Street and asked to be taken to the 4100 block of Edgemere Court. The man then pulled out a handgun and stole the driver’s phone and a small amount of cash.

The suspect was described to be in his 20’s, between 5’8” to 5’11” with a thin build. He had a mustache and facial hair on his chin. He had tattoos on the back of both of his hands.
