LAWRENCE, Ind. (January 3, 2015) — Lawrence police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they say robbed a bank.

The robbery happened at the Old National Bank on Pendleton Pike just after 8AM Saturday, just when the bank opened. The suspect, armed with a handgun, demanded cash from the teller, which he received. He then fled on foot and was last seen walking west from the bank. Police say he may have had a car waiting for him  nearby.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20’s, wearing a tan work outfit described as being similar to a Carhartt-style jacket and pants. He was also wearing a black head covering.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of the suspects, call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317.262.TIPS (8477). Callers may also text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274627 (CRIMES).
