ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (April 1, 2016) – Police in Zionsville released a photo of a van similar to one linked to an attempted abduction earlier this week.

A woman was taking her trash to the dumpster in The Domain at Bennett Farms Apartments when the van pulled up around 11:30 a.m. Monday. A man got out of the van, grabbed her from behind and held a knife to her neck, police said.

He tried to pull her into the van, but the woman fought back and managed to get free. The van in the photo Zionsville police released Friday is similar to the one used in the attack.

Here’s the description of the van and suspect from Monday’s attempted abduction:

  • White, boxy van with no windows
  • Large ladder on top of van with no markings of any kind
  • Hispanic male about 5’8” to 5’10” with shaved or bald head
  • Light facial hair
