Person shot on Indy’s near northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A person was shot on the near northeast side of Indianapolis early Friday morning.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed that it’s investigating a shooting that occurred on the 2300 block of Sheldon Street.

The shooting happened around 1:20 a.m. Friday.

According to an IMPD incident report, the victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening.

The shooting remains under investigation.
