MONROE COUNTY, Ind. (April 10, 2015)–  The sons of John Mellencamp pleaded guilty to battery resulting in bodily injury Friday.

Hud Mellencamp received a one year suspended sentence with a year of probation and 50 hours of community service. Speck Mellencamp will serve five days of his one year sentence, plus one year of probation. They entered the pleas Friday after the charges were reduced from felonies.

The Mellencamp sons, along with Ty Smith, the son of former Indiana University baseball coach Tracy Smith, beat up a man after a party in Bloomington in 2013. Smith is due back in court later this month.
