Indianapolis shootings kill 2 and injure 2 others

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 17, 2016) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are investigating three separate overnight shootings that killed two people and injured two others.

The first shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the corner of 25th Street and Shriver Avenue. Police say a 37-year-old man and 25-year-old man were shot and killed. Both men were found dead inside of an SUV on the side of the road, after it veered off of I-65. The investigation is ongoing.

The second shooting happened at 3 a.m. in the parking lot of Club Venus in the 3500 block of West 16th Street. Several witnesses are being questioned. The victim was taken to Eskenazi hospital in critical condition.

The third shooting happened near the corner of Stuart and 30th Street at 3:30 a.m. The victim was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
