IMPD: Body found in car being investigated as homicide

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is investigating a homicide on the east side of Indianapolis.

IMPD said just after 9:44 a.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Southeastern Avenue on a report of an unresponsive person.

Police arrived and found an unresponsive adult man in a vehicle that was previously reported stolen.

IMPD said EMS responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The man has been identified as 22-year-old Clark Morris. Authorities have not yet released his cause of death.

Homicide detectives arrived and immediately began canvassing the area for witnesses.

According to IMPD, detectives believe this is an isolated incident based on information they gathered.
