BLOOMFIELD, Ind. – A biology teacher at Bloomfield High School has been charged with child seduction after allegedly having sexual relations with a 17-year-old student.

Along with the child seduction charge, Franklin D. Hall, 36, is a facing possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia charges.

Police were contacted about the alleged encounters on May 25, 2016. The victim was then interviewed by the people at Suzie’s Place on May 27, 2015, where she denied any inappropriate relationship with Hall.

On Oct. 19, 2016, the victim came forward to the police and said her and Hall had been sending nude photos through  Snapchat prior to a sexual encounter in Hall’s Bloomfield house.

During their “relationship,” the victim says Hall gave her between $500 and $1,500 as well as buying her flowers, chocolates and paying for her and her friends to get their nails done. She also told police that Hall gave her grades in school that she did not earn.

The victim says when Hall learned that she had a steady boyfriend, he became rude and threatening in messages and she proceeded to block him on social media and avoided him at school.

On Oct. 20, a search warrant was used to search Hall’s house. The home’s appearance matched the description given by the victim. During the search, marijuana and paraphernalia were also found. Police say Hall refused to be interviewed.
