Coroner’s office identifies husband and wife killed in apparent homicide-suicide on south side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – An apparent homicide-suicide involving a husband and wife is under investigation on the city’s south side.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says it happened at a home in the 2800 block of East Sumner Avenue.

According to police, an adult family member found the couple and called authorities shortly before 5 p.m. Monday.

According to the Marion County Coroner’s Office, the deceased were identified as 54-year-old Angela Holden and 55-year-old Curtis Holden. The coroner’s report indicated that Curtis Holden killed Angela Holden before taking his own life. The case remains under investigation.
