Crews respond to several fires after storms sweep through central Indiana

LEBANON, Ind. – Fire crews around central Indiana responded to several fires Monday morning.

In Lebanon, crews were called to the Crisis Pregnancy Center in the 1400 block of Lebanon Street. Camp Street was closed as crews responded. The cause of that fire was under investigation and no injuries were reported.

In Lawrence, a lightning strike was believed to be responsible for a fire at a home in the 12000 block of Gunnison Drive. Crews quickly got that fire under control after being dispatched around 5:40 a.m.

Another lightning-related fire is under investigation in Brownsburg. That fire was reported around 7:15 a.m. in the 5500 block of Newport Avenue.

According to the Brownsburg Fire Department, a neighbor saw the fire and alerted firefighters. He went to see if anyone was inside and suffered a minor injury. A firefighter also suffered a minor injury. Crews quickly put the fire out and were checking for hotspots.
