LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 3, 2015) – Fire crews were battling a large fire at the GE Appliance Park in Louisville Friday morning.

Harrods Creek Fire Chief Kevin Tyler told WDRB that it’s a six-alarm fire with more than 100 firefighters at the scene. Rain hammered the area this week, keeping crews busy with water rescues in addition to the large fire.

WDRB reported that the building, which was being used for storage, collapsed before 8:30 a.m. Thick, black smoke could be seen from several miles away.
