INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – IMPD has released the names of the couple that crashed into a home on the west side Monday morning.

Eynard Blandon-Ruiz, 21, is accused of chasing after his ex-girlfriend after a dispute. The chase ended after the couple crashed into a home in the 6800 block of Grampian Way in Pike Twp. Police arrested Blandon-Ruiz on charges of criminal recklessness and vandalism.

The woman involved in the crash, Evelyn Linares, 21, was not charged in the incident.

Police responded to the home after neighbors heard a loud sound and called 911.

"I just heard a loud bang and ran outside," neighbor Jason Ridpath said. "Heard the lady screaming and called 911."

After the crash, Blandon-Ruiz ran to a nearby apartment complex where Brandi Watson lives, according to witnesses.

“Some man came in the apartment and he was banging on everyone’s door so I got up,” Watson said.

Watson believes he was looking for a getaway car.

“He’s telling me he wants me to call his friend to have his friend pick him up and he’s just limping around," Watson said.

Instead she called 911 and Ruiz was arrested.

A mother and her son live inside the home and were not injured.

Pike Twp. Fire Chief Robert Saunders said the family is working with their insurance and the Red Cross to figure out sleeping arrangements for the night.
