SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. – Conservation officers say a scuba diver recovered a male body from a lake at White Rock Park – the same area where a missing Indianapolis man was last seen.

Christopher Demarrco Easton, 20, of Indianapolis, was visiting the park with friends on May 29 when he left the area of his friends around 5:30 p.m. and walked toward the campground.

Christopher was last seen wearing dark blue and white swimming trunks, glasses, and he did not have a shirt on.

"A positive id will happen at the coroners office tomorrow. At this point, the individual that has been recovered from the water is wearing swim trunks and glasses and the shoes he had on," says Officer Travis Stewart of Indiana Conservation Police.

Conservation Officers searched the old rock quarry by aid of boats and sonar where a search dog located his last scent. A scuba diver recovered a body from the bottom of the lake around 11:30 a.m. According to conservation officers, the water ranges from 18 to 26 feet.

A coroner was called to the scene to positively identify the body.

"It is heartbreaking. nobody wants to lose their child, regardless of if they are an adult or not…my heart goes out to her and the whole family," says camper Lori Walston.
